Project Summary

What Went Well

  • Had fun sculpting rocks!
  • Creating the firefly particles
  • Keeping to the base idea of a door entombed in stone

What Went Wrong

  • Couldn't get tesselation multiplier in UE4 to work properly for the tileable mud.
  • Creating tileable in zBrush took a long, long time to get working correctly without seams
  • Probably just needs more assets


What I Learned

  • Some basics behind the Cascade editor's GPU-based particle system
  • How to create and bake tileables in zBrush
  • How to create a level render camera using Blueprints in UE4.
